When I first saw commercials for “The Adjustment Bureau“, featuring Matt Damon and Mad Men star John Slattery, I didn’t know what to think. But this trailer has definitely peaked my interest. While IMDB‘s description is vague, “The affair between a politician and a ballerina is affected by mysterious forces keeping the lovers apart”, the ominous men in fedoras and random sci-fi type devices have got me wanting more. But what catch my eye even more is are the great hat selections for this movie.
Classic styling and skilled craftsmanship make the Bailey of Hollywood Salem Hat a style to be proud to own. As featured on GQ.com, the soft sewn braid construction, pinched front crown, 2 1/8-inch snap brim, and striped grosgrain band of the Salem qualify this fedora as a carryover classic.
It’s even evident when you walk in the office. Sure, we have hats on our desks that we’re working with . . . and some that are ours in case we forgot/need/switch a style. But we have hat trees, shelves, and racks full of hats. It’s not rare that someone just stands up and grabs a hat because it’s cool, fun or silly. It’s not even odd to walk in and find someone in a top hat!
